MPM is a small business and operated out of an office in my home…thus I have the advantage of very low overhead and pass this benefit along to my clients in the form of very competitive pricing. Are there distributor networks that get better pricing from suppliers than MPM? Yes….just like the large retail chains with both a physical and internet presence, the promotional products industry is being inundated with large distributor network organizations that are working hard to bring independent distributors such as myself underneath their umbrellas to increase their purchasing power over that of the smaller distributors. The thing though….is that often times….you will find that a company such as mine is right in line with their pricing, or even less due to the extra layer of management necessary to run these larger organizations…..or the fact that they are pocketing the extra profit margin gained from their purchasing power.

The other plus in working from a home office is not being tied down to a showroom, thus affording more time to work to my client’s schedules.

Embroidery and Screen Printing:

I will add that MPM can also fulfill your screen printing and embroidery orders as we work with one of the industry’s top contract decorators when having hats, t-shirts, jackets and golf shirts decorated. We’ve been using this contract decorator since 2005 and they have never failed to help up provide a quality product for our clients.

If you are considering embroidery or screen printed apparel, there are a few things I need to point out.

1. As a general rule, we need 2-1/2 to 3 weeks at a minimum to turn your order around for you without the order incurring any rush charges due to our contract decorator’s production schedule.

2. The minimum number for screen printing is 24 pieces per order and the minimum for embroidery is 12 pieces per order. As with other decorating methods, order volume affects pricing greatly.

3. Embroidery prices are determined by the number of stitches and include at least 4 thread colors and more dependent upon the item ordered.

4. In most cases, screen printing prices are determined by the number of imprint colors to be printed on an item. For less expensive items and smaller quantity orders you may want to consider going with a 1 color version of your logo to keeps costs down.
